Technical translations

Technical translations are vary greatly depending on the economic sector because each has its own specificities.

Our key areas for translation into Russian are the automotive industry, IT, construction and telecommunications. Some of our translators deal exclusively with Russian-English petrochemical translations. 

 

Before starting a job, we analyze the text in order to accurately assess our translators’ competence in relation to the specific task. You have probably come across inaccurate translations in even such simple texts as instructions for household appliances or a poor translation for a website interface. Technical translation requires not only a complete understanding of the text’s meaning but also of the situation in which it will be “put to work.”

For example, in translations for telephone manufacturers, we work not only with the text but also with the interface of the telephones themselves. This is the only way to obtain the correct translation. The translator must see the context for all the words, commands and designations that need to be translated. It is the same when translating software products and interfaces.
